Designer's Statement
Dreams in Colour is an animated video for the Immersive Video Environments Using Design Psychology Course. It is about a girl's three dreams. The video's mountains, factories, and fish ponds correspond to three different types of dreams: healing, nightmares, and false awakenings. The video explores the mysterious connection between psychological emotions in girls' lives and colours in dreams by researching the colours associated with these three dream emotions, features of the dream core and psychedelic art.
This project aims to subvert human perception and the experience of common things in our lives. It balances a rational vision of life with the association of Colour and emotions. People can experience from calm to odd, anxious emotional changes in chaotic but stunning experiences through different scenes featuring dream cores and psychedelic aesthetics.
